Commercial Electricity

MORE SUPPLIERS. MORE LEVERAGE.

Pennsylvania was one of the earliest states to deregulate its electricity market, opening retail choice in 1996. Eligible businesses in the service territories of PECO, PPL Electric, Duquesne Light, Met-Ed, Penelec, and West Penn Power can choose their own competitive electricity supplier. Your utility continues to deliver power and maintain the grid — you simply choose the supplier for the supply portion of your bill.

  • Electric supply choice available for eligible commercial customers

  • PECO, PPL Electric, Duquesne Light, Met-Ed, Penelec, and West Penn Power service territories

  • Pennsylvania sits inside the PJM wholesale market, alongside Illinois and several other states we serve

  • Rural electric cooperative and municipal utility customers are generally not part of the competitive market

Natural Gas

CHOICE DEPENDS ON YOUR UTILITY.

Natural gas supply options in Pennsylvania are available to commercial customers across most of the state's natural gas utilities. Businesses served by PECO Gas, UGI Utilities, Columbia Gas of Pennsylvania, Peoples Natural Gas, National Fuel Gas, and Philadelphia Gas Works can generally choose a competitive supplier for their gas commodity.

  • Choice available for eligible commercial customers across most Pennsylvania gas utility territories

  • Availability and terms can vary by utility and account size

  • We'll help you understand your options based on your specific location and usage
